Quick Camping Trip

Tori's softball team was suppose to play in Vegas Memorial Day weekend but since there weren't enough teams it was cancelled.  We decided to use our trailer and go camping, especially since we might sell it :=(.
We just went to Prescott, a quick drive up north.   We left at 5:30 am on Friday and was all set up by 8:00 and ready for some breakfast.   Friday was a nice day, a little breezy but a beautiful day.    We just played lots of cards, washers and baggo all day and then went for a walk.  We had the dogs with us and poor Harli started slowing down so we thought she had enough we better head back or Tad will be carrying her... lol.
The wind started getting up so our fire wasn't so good, but we were tired anyway so it was an early night.

Saturday was a bit windier.. is that a word?  haha   We went for a drive to see the cabin that my dad built with his brothers, when I was just a baby... sure wish they still had it.  We went all over the area, pretty much still the same.  There was a Indian craft show in the town square that we checked out but didn't last long, nothing too excited to look at.  It was dinner time by now and since it was getting really windy we rented a movie and didn't even do a fire.

Sunday was very windy so we decided to head home earlier than we planned.  It was a scary ride home... our trailer was all over the road, Tad was white knuckling it all the way.. scary!!!
We made it home safe... whewwww :))

Tatum's Promotion

Where did this year go?  As my girls get older the years go by faster and faster.  I cannot believe I will have two in high school next year and one in Jr. High.

Tatum had her promotion from 8th grade at Frontier this afternoon.   She of course was very beautiful and I of course weeped throughout the ceremony.   These milestones that the girls go through are just so emotional and there are so many more to come.  I know as they get older they will be harder and harder but its life and I will CRY!!!   Tatum is just like her mama... she sat there with her class and was teary eyed as her friends and classmates names were called.    She told me during rehearsal last Friday she was going to cry probably because she got teary at their practice.  I love that kid!!!!

We have such great family and friends who came by to help us celebrate Tatums day.   She appreciates you all so much.

Promotion Dance

Tonight was the 8th grade promotion dance and Tatum was very excited to go.  Actually she has been excited all week since this is her last full week of school and yesterday was the last day of classes for her.  Today they practiced for promotion then went to Peter Piper Pizza, Monday they go to Wet N Wild and then Tuesday practice again at Sunrise and then fun and sign year books.   As each day goes by I find myself getting emotional once again as I did two years ago.  I didn't think I would, as I have done all this before, but its another one of my babies going into high school and thats just another sign that they are growing up and they are not my little girls anymore.   I love the new adventures and fun and excitement of their high school years but I hate that they are growing up way too fast.

Uniforms arrived

Taylors USA uniforms arrived today in the mail along with our itinerary.    When we first accepted for her to go it was back in October and seemed so far away.   I have made payments, she has done community service, and we have sent out donation letters but it still didn't feel real that we were going to Australia.  But when the uniforms arrived and we have all the information I got goosebumps.   We leave in 30 days and we are more excited then ever.

Frontier Sports Banquet

Frontier held their annual sports banquet for all sports for the year.   We went in honor of Tatum this year, since she played softball.   We always sit with the Hills and the Bauers and this year Tyler and Codi got their awards too, both for softball as well.

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day!  Today we had a nice day.  The girls all slept in and Tad and I enjoyed our morning coffee.  The girls gave me a giftcard and wonderful DVD that Tatum made with pictures from when they were babies until now.  I cried of course and was very impressed that she could do that.   When the DVD was over I gave the girls a hug and when I went to hug Tatum I noticed she was crying.  I asked her whats wrong and she says very emotionally "Harli is gonna die soon".   There were lots of pictures of our dogs from when they were small... 10 weeks old and now Harli just turned 11 and is getting old.   Tatum is such my emotional daughter.   I told her Harli isn't even sick and she still loves to play, she has a good couple years hopefully.  The waterworks continue... "Thats not very long".   I love you Tatum Shay, your so caring and sensitive.   She dried up her tears and we all got ready for the day.   Tad invited my parents over for lunch and he cooked for us all.  Lunch was delicious.   We played lots of cards and ate lots of food.    It was a great day!!

My beautiful daughters~  Love you all so much!!
