Lovin' this weather :))

Today was one of those days which doesn't happen very often where we didn't have any plans.... no softball or gym meets.. no where at all to be. We drove out to my friend Christys in New River and the girls played and she and I chatted (if you can image that). We had a great morning, went to In N Out for lunch with them and then came home. The weather is awesome... 80 degrees and the warmth felt great!! :)) Taylor and Tatum both had friends houses to go to so Tori Jo and I went on a bike ride around the neighborhood. She led the way and I just followed her all over.. we stopped at the park for a few and then off on our ride again. Did I mention the weather was great today... This is why we live in Arizona... Days like these.

Three day Weekend....

You gotta love 3 day weekends... but they go so fast and seem like we are going all the time. Friday the girls got out of school at 10:00 for conferences (don't know why they even go for only 2 hours) but after lunch I braided Tatums hair and off to the University of Phoenix for her gymnastics meet. It was set up really neat in there and had 3 different levels competing at the same time. By the time awards were given out we didn't get home until after 10:00.... Tatum did much better this meet as I knew she would. She received her first 9 on the beam and was very proud as of course I was :))

Tatum received 5th place for her Beam competition

Her team won the all around and the gym won a guitar... it was the Hard Rock Meet

Tatum with the guitar... she got to bring this home for the weekend.

Saturday we were up early and off to Lower Buckeye for a softball tournament that Taylors club team played in.... except her team decided not to show up (physically they were there but that was it) :(( Three games played... three games lost... Don't know what happened but they just didn't play well at all. Oh well this happens and they will get them next time!! Since her team lost Taylor was able to go to her best friends party so we raced home and off to the party.
Tori had a sleepover at a sister of a team mate of Taylors... and Tatum had a sister of a team mate sleep at our house. Do kids ever sleep at their own home anymore.
Sunday we slept in.. I did laundry... Fun!! and the kids just played outside all day... Taylor went to the movies with Sydney, Tori came home from her friends and played with Carli, Codi and Tyler all day. Tatum and Carli gave them all pedicures last night and that could of been a disaster with all the lamp cords (story in itself). Took Taylor to a team sleepover then went to the Bauers had a margarita, sat in the jaccuzi and watched Desperate Housewives.... my kind of night.. especially after all the running around.
Today I picked up Taylor from her team sleepover... of course at 10:15 they were all still asleep.. dragged her out of there... raced to get to hair cuts... had lunch and now waiting to take Taylor to batting and then softball practice. Next week I will be adding Tori Jo back into the mix... she starts her softball up again. Thats a good thing... she is ready to play again herself and not just going to her sisters events!!!
Hope everyone had a great Presidents Days weekend!! :))

Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance~

Tonight was the annual Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance. This is the 8th Dance that Tad has attended. He has gone since Taylor was in first grade and now she is an 8th grader and her last DDD Dance. Everyone year we take pictures of the girls together with their Dad and then a group picture with the Bauers. I still can't believe they have done this for 8 years.... After the dance they always go out for ice cream.. Tad has always enjoyed dancing with the girls.. he always comes home a sweaty mess because they don't ever get off the dance floor.. (thats my girls.. dancing is in the blood)!!! :+)

Superbowl Sunday

Today we went to my brothers house to watch the Superbowl. I am not a football fan at all... I think this is the first time I have ever watched an entire game. It was such a great game... and due to bad refs we lost :( Everyone was still very proud of the team.. they did a Great job.

Terry brought home a huge Budweiser banner and here we all are at halftime

The girls even watched the game... here with the grandparents

Taylor and Sydney with Tyler (who is a Steelers fan) :(
