Last Sleep In

Its 11:15 a.m. and Taylor and Tori are still asleep... before they went to bed last night they both said they wanted to sleep in and not wake them since it would be there last time before school starts tomorrow. I had no idea it would be almost noon before they woke up. They are definately by sleepy heads!!!!

Tori had oral surgery today

Today Tori had to get her two bottom baby molars pulled/cut out this morning. She has had to have so many teeth pulled but his is the first time she had to see a oral surgeon. She did great but she was loopy for a very long time and Taylor and Tatum kept laughing at her and that would make her whine and then she would drool because she couldn't feel her lip or tongue. She isn't a very good coming out of anethistic patient. She kept seeing double and would whine about that too. My poor baby was a mess, but now she can feel her lip and tongue and there isn't anything double anymore. All these teeth being pulled is due to her being a thumb sucker as a baby.... her pallet formed around her thumb and its very narrow so she doesn't have room for her permanent teeth as they come in. It was soooo cute as a baby as she sucked her thumb and twirled her hair but its not cute anymore.... she quit when she was 7 but is having to pay for it now. She is back to herself tonight and is ready to eat something other than Soft stuff.

Tournament in Prescott

Taylor had her final tournament with her club team Chaos this weekend. It was bittersweet, the girls had a great weekend together but some are sad to have the team split up. They are close enough that there friendships will remain and some will end up on the same club teams together. We have made some good friendships with parents as well and with all the girls moving on we will see most of them too.

It rained Saturday night and that was great to see... the refreshing smell of the pines and the briskness in the air. Lucky for us the team was done just in time before the rain started so we got to enjoy it on the patio of the hotel.

Two down and one to go~

Tatum had her ortho appointment today and to our surprise she got her braces off. She was totally surprised and very very happy. She looks older to me without braces and I'm not liking it.... but her teeth look fabulous!!!

Big League Dreams...

Taylor had a tournament in Gilbert at Big League Dreams. This is a really cool complex. It has 8 fields and each field is a replica of a Major League Baseball Field. It even looks like there are people in the outfield stands. Now the tournament itself was hotter then hell. I cannot believe they have tournaments in this heat. The team made it to the semi finals and lost after going into international rules.

Camping trip over Fourth of July

We headed up north to Hutch Mountain on Wednesday morning. We have been going to this area for years. The girls like the area and they love to ride the ranger around. The weather was great, it rained most of the day Thursday but not ever a down pour... a nice light rain. We played lots of cards, dominoes and ate and ate and ate. Its either camping or the cool weather thats makes you hungry all day :) Our friends the Sterns showed up Thursday late afternoon. Tad and I learned a new card game called Yuker (sp). Then Friday morning our friends the Bauers showed up, they came for the one night. They brought their ranger so all 9 girls rode around most of the day between the two rangers.... well until Mr. Game and Fish came along and spoiled there fun. We don't have some tag you have to have on off road vehicles so the ranger was parked the rest of the time :(
It didn't bother the girls too much... there is always something to do camping. We got home late last night and today its clean up time and laundry, laundry and more laundry... YUK :=(

Firecracker champs again!!!

Taylors club team won the Firecracker tournament second year in a row... way to go ladies. It was really really hot out there but it didn't seem to bother the girls any. Tad took Tatum, Tori and Payton who is visiting from Iowa to the Diamondbacks game. We were all suppose to go but the team was in the championship game and the games were backed up so I stayed and cheered on the team. Tatum, Tori and Payton were glad they were leaving... they were there for the 10:00 am game and was complaining about the heat... they wouldn't of made it until 5:00 that evening. Taylor and I got home and went straight to the pool and jumped in....ahhhh refreshing!!!!
