World Series in Reno

Our family packed up and drove 14 hour to Reno to watch Tori play in the TCS 12U World Series.     We had a great time with great friends that we have made over the past year.

The week started off a team challenge where each team had a thowing contest, hitting, and pitching.  The girls had fun at this.  Then we headed to opening ceremonies.... each team was introduced and march around the arena in some sort of costume.  Our girls, The Lil Saints, wore their red team shirt, bedazzled flip flops, sun glasses, beads a halo and wings.  They won best costume!!  We ended the evening with a team dinner back at the team hotel.

Pool play was on Tuesday and Wednesday and the tournament began on Thursday.    The girls had a few really good games and they had a couple games where they couldn't get it together as a team.   They didn't make it into the final day to play.     We had a great week though... team dinners on the deck, kids running around, adults playing baggo and enjoying beverages, a little bit of gambling at the casinos.  Taylor and Tatum were a hit with all the siblings of the players.   They are ages 4 - 8 and Taylor and Tatum kept them entertained during games and after.  They played many games of red rover, dodge ball and kick ball.

Its a bitter sweet ending to a great year of ball.   The girls all have tryouts and will most likely be all separated which is sad since these girls were a great group of kids.

Tori Jo you had a great season with the Lil Saints... you grew so much as a player and now its time to move up where you will grow and learn so much more as a softball player.
