Dance and Softball

Tatum had her dance recital this weekend while Taylor and I were in Colorado. I am so bummed that I missed it :( She did a great job on all 3 of her dances. After the recital they had a dinner and awards ceremony. Tatum received "Hardest Worker" award. I am so proud of her. Tad was video taping the dance and so was unable to get pictures.

Taylor had her tourny is Colorado and they won 2 of the 3 games on Saturday and won 1 and lost 1 on Sunday. It was so beautiful with great weather. They didn't qualify for nationals but we have many more chances.

Graduations

For the next 3 years we will have a graduation to attend from Frontier and the next 7 years one from Sunrise Mountain High School. This year Cody graduated from 8th grade and Brittney graduated from Sunrise Mountain. After Codys graduation we all went back to the Hills for food and some fun. On Thursday was Brittneys turn. Unfortunately Taylor and I were in Colorado for a softball tournament and Tori Jo was home sick with a 102 fever. Tatum went with Grandma and Papa to the ceremony and then Tad went for some cake afterwards at the Olsons house.

State Championship

Taylor was pulled up for the State Finals for softball. She didn't get to play but it was a great experience for her and a great way to end the season. She played great and pitched outstanding during her JV season and being with the varsity team was a very fun time for her. They won the semi final game in a nail biting game where we were down until the final minute of the game. Saturday night was a different story and they lost to Cienega.

School awards and concerts

The girls all had something this week at school in the evening for either an awards ceremony or a choir concert. Luckily nothing landed on the same day. Monday night Taylor had her softball banquet, Tuesday night Tatum had her sports banquet and Wednesday night was the choir concert. They were all very enjoyable and a great way to end the school year. We are so very proud of all three girls for all they do.

Phoenix Suns

Last night we went to the Phoenix Suns first play off game for this year. It was a very close game the enire time... the Suns were off their game and couldn't make any thing. They lost it in the end 100 - 105 :( Despite the loss we had great seats and of course had a Fun time. Play off games are always exciting and with lots of energy throughout the place. We were laughing at Tad yelling at the refs... I think Eddie Johnson was going to slap him and tell him to be quiet... LOL

Sunrise Mountain Softball

Well the season only has 2 weeks left and I finally remembered to take my camera to get some pictures of Taylor. They are having a great season without any loses but then again there hasn't been any competition.... I think in all we have 130 to 5... its sad really. We played varsity yesterday just so we could see a real pitcher and then get some defense practice.

Great Weather

Its been so windy lately but this weekend was just perfect. Warm enough during the day to enjoy the pool... if your brave to get in the freezing water... and still cool in the evening. Tad has been gone since Wednesday out at NASCAR in the trailer so it was just us girls. Friday night Tatum went to the school dance, Tori had a softball game and Taylor had the JV Softball team over for the night. I was a little leary about having 11 high school girls over but they were no problem at all. They were very respectful too and cleaned everything up before leaving on Saturday. Its so weird though and part of Taylor getting older is that I am not the one taking them to Walmart to get Toilet paper to TP or taking them out to do the TPing.... I was pulling into the culdesac as the 3 cars were pulling out and my baby was with them... OMG she is growing up... much faster than I would like :(

Today we had a great Sunday... we just hung outside all day and got some sun. The girls went back and forth from our house to the Bauers. Cody and Tyler came to swim too for a while and hang with all the girls.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter today. We went to church on Saturday night this year at CCV since I was having brunch today and needed to get all the food ready. I did something different this year and made breakfast and lunch with all our favorites of both and it was really yummy! We had so much food and everyone else brought all the sweet stuff for afterwards. After we ate we got some serious games of Kickball going and everyone is so competitive that I think the entire neighborhood could hear us arguing over a play... lol!!! After kickball we picked numbers for teams for a washer tournament... Noelle and Tad came from the LOSER bracket and WON!!! We got another game of kickball in... a game of wiffel ball and even some cards. It was a very FUN day of non-stop entertainment :))
