Tatum makes the Freshmen team
Congratulations Tatum for trying out and making the freshmen team. Since the beginning of the year she has contemplated whether or not she wanted to play softball this year. One day yes she was going to tryout and then the next no she was not. Well she surprised us and decided to tryout. She made the team and is having so much fun. They have won their first two games, run ruled them in fact. Tatum hit a 4 run homerun... no fences but a great hard hit. She was so proud and so were we. I missed that game against Mtn Ridge and was so bummed. With Taylor on Varsity and Tatum on Freshmen they travel opposite locations. I have decided to make all the home games instead of travel so I will see which ever team is home. Tad on the other hand has a hard time making any of the games.. they start so early, but he will try and get to as many as he can!! Tatum played home today against Deer Valley and had another great game. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see the rest of your games.

SMHS wins
Taylor made the varsity team again this year for softball but there isn't a senior in front of her. Last year she pitched games but had to share the mound with a senior and another sophomore. This year she is so excited to be one of two pitchers, both juniors. Her good friend Kirsten is the other pitcher and she is just as excited!
The year started off with a west valley tournament and Sunrise went 7 - 0. Taylor pitched 4 of the 7 games. She finished the tournament pitching the championship game against Centennial. Taylor is having so much fun and is pitching better than ever. We are so very proud of her.
Here are some great pictures.. Thanks Jan King for taking them:
Great job Mustangs!!! Looking forward to a fun and winning season!!!

Finally Tori's turn
Tori Jo and I went to Disneyland for her 13th birthday. She has been looking forward on taking her trip with me since Taylor went 4 years ago and then Tatum 2 years ago. We had such a fun 3 days together in the Happiest Place on Earth. There weren't any long lines, 30 minutes max on Sunday and on Tuesday we would ride and then get right back on for some rides and waited 5 minutes max on most rides. We ate, talked, laughed, walked, ate, rode rides laughed some more.. we had a great time and I am sad it ended so quickly. Thanks Tori Jo for such a FUN time!!
