Tad and I were invited to go to New York with the Diamonds Backs. Since Budweiser is a sponsor Tad gets invited on trips with the local teams all the time. I just happen to get invited as well this time. We headed out on Thursday morning arriving in New York at 5:00 pm. Time to get checked in and freshened up for dinner at Keens Steakhouse. Dinner was great and besides the other 10 or so sponsors, guests for dinner included Luis Gonzalez, Kirk Gibson and Kevin Towers. After dinner we need to walk off all that delicious food so we walked a few block to Times Square, which is so bright and all lit up at night.

Friday we had free time and were on our own until the bus left for Citi Bank Field. We started off the morning going to Clear Station and met with Elvis Duran which their show is aired live in New York and syndicated in Arizona. The show was off that morning because of Good Friday so they were playing the Best Of recordings. Scary and Elvis (two of the shows morning people took us on a tour of the Clean Station studio where 6 radios stations play all from classic, jazz, hip hop, top 40 and easy listening. They also have a very small and intimate stage where bands come in and listeners win a close up and personal concert tickets. These two guys were very nice with coffee and New York Bagels all ready for us and they came in just for us... it was their day off!

After our radio tour we headed over to ground 0 in a cab. That was a scary ride. Cannot believe there aren't a million accidents.. those cabbys are CRAZY Drivers!!!! It was amazing how much work they have done with the new towers. One is almost done and the other 3 have been started.
We walked over so we could see the Statue of Libery. We didn't have time to take the ferry over to Ellis Island for a closer look.
We decided to take the subway over to Central Park instead of a cab again. We only saw a small portion of the park, I wish the trees would have had their leaves... they were all very bare, a few more weeks and it would be beautiful I'm sure.

We headed to our first Diamondback game at 4:00 and got a tour of the City Field. Then went onto the field for hitting practice. It was exciting to see the players up close and personal.
