Happy Halloween :)

Tonight we had a halloween get together in the culdesac... lots of kids in all variety of costumes. It was a very warm night and alot of them dressed for much cooler weather... they would trick or treat come home cool off and then head back out.

Twilight in 25 days.....

Today was the first day I saw the preview on t.v. of the movie Twilight. I have been counting down and finally less than a month until we can see Edward and Bella :) I just went online and purchased our tickets so we are ready to GO!!!!
Taylor and Tatum have read the book too so they are anxious as I am... Tori tried to read it but the words are a bit much for her but we all talk about it so much she feels like she has read it.... are we freaks or what?????

Back from Disneyland : )

We are back from our trip to Disneyland... we had so much fun. Now that the kids are older and they can all go on every ride, what a difference... nobody has to wait back for everyone else to go through the line. We went over thinking it would be 80degrees during the day... oh no... it was 101 on Thursday... couldn't believe it :( but there is so much shade at disney that it never felt that hot... but the nights did cool off to sweatshirt weather :) Friday we spent the day across the way at California Adventure and we stayed there until it closed and there was a lot of things that we hadn't done before.... when you take your time and just look at everything, you see things you missed on prior trips cuz you had to hurry and fit it all in. This wasn't the case this trip. Everything was decorated for Halloween it was really neat!! :) Saturday we started at Disneyland and went on all the rides we liked best 2 or 3 times then headed back to California Adventure to do the same. We watched parades at both parks and then Saturday night the firework show was awesome... they have the best fireworks but this seemed far better than before!! I think they outdo themselves each time its changed.

Wednesday night we went to Downtown Disney and at the restuarant we ate at they made the girls balloon hats :)

3D glasses were worn on the new Woody/Buzz Lighyear ride at Cal. Adv. It was the neatest ride... it was all interactive... we had to try and beat our scores each time.








We had a super time and can't wait to do it again :)

Spidergirls?????

Today Tad's work, Hensley, had their company picnic at the Phoenix Zoo. It was too bad it wasn't last weekend when it was only 75 degrees... it was really hot today 95 plus... Well they have an area roped off and there is food, rock wall, games etc. and face painting... I look up and here walks 3 spidergirls... actually there was 5 my two nieces were painted the same way. It was a hot but nice day :)

Fear Farm....

Taylor and 7 of her friends went to Fear Farm on Saturday night. Tad and I took them and then we walked across the street and walked around the shopping center. This place was very crowded... they stood in the first line for over an hour and a half... this was the scariest maze... the other 3 lines didn't take quite as long but we didn't get out of there until after 11:30... we got there at 7:30.

Jonas Brothers Obsession

Everytime I sit down at the computer there is a new picture of one of the Jonas Brothers.... and it is usually Nick. Tori Jo is obsessed with him.... Oh my she is only 9.

5 more days.......

We Love going to Disneyland and we are going next week.... The girls are so excited! We have been at Christmas time... it is really neat... everything is so decorated and then after the fireworks it snows (just bubbles, but there are so many coming out all over it really does look like snow) :) We have been the end of January, a great time nobody there and the lines are really short. In the Summer time (sucky time... way too crowded) But we have never been in October at Halloween time.... We love Disney :) :)

Our fun with the Lee's

Today there wasn't any school due to Columbus Day.... YEAH :)
It was such a beautiful Fall Day, had the doors and windows open and it was just great to be outdoors. We met our friends the Lee girls for pizza and wings and then we all headed back to our house. The girls decided to play dress up....I love this because the two oldest girls are 13 and they still dressed up..... let them be little as long as they want to be!!!! :)
I love these next pictures of Taylor who hates to wear dresses and just be a girl... she is the softball player who loves to get dirty and well be uh Taylor....She makes such a pretty girl!!

We always have a great time with the Lee girls... We need to do this more often Christy!!! Thanks for a super day.

What the Heck.....

Tatum had her first real meet yesterday and I taped her at all 4 routines. I come home to down load it and put it on this blog so family in Iowa can see how well she did but....I can't figure it out. I haven't ever downloaded video before and I get out the CD to download to the computer and it tells me its not compatible to the computer... WTH.. this ticks me off... my camera is too old for Windows Vista... give me a break :( I hate this crap!!!!
Well you will all have to visualize how she did I guess. It was a long day. We had to be in Chandler at 7:45 a.m., so we were up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning...That didn't sit lightly with Taylor, the sleepy head.
Tatum did well at all her routines, she placed on vault. We think she did very well competing her first time against 20 other girls. It was all done at 1:00 and then we headed back home. The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :)

Then......

Tori played a softball game at 7:00 and let me tell you it was COLD....I had my jacket on and wrapped up in my 2 blankets with my Starbucks.... I'm such a wimp... although I wasn't the only one. Tad even thought it was cold as did others :) Tori played a team that the coach is very annoying.... he treats these 8, 9 and 10 yr old girls like they are girls playing in college.... he gets so worked up... I swear he is going to have a stroke..... We had a full, long day but it was a fun family day full of sports. We were in bed by 9:30!!

This morning we slept in and then went to church. Now the girls and I are making cut out Halloween cookies...

This was funny to watch ~

We have had WII Fit for some time now and Tad finally got on to use it. The girls and I laughed watching Tad hula hoop, especially when he had to move his hips in the opposite direction... he kept getting all messed up :)

Sun Up to Sun Down

Hello all... the Nowlins are still alive! :) We have been living at the softball fields the past 2 weekends... literally from sun up to sun down. Last weekend Taylors teams placed 3rd and it was really hot out there. Its really sad when the parents are all complaining and whining "Its so hot out here" and we are all sitting in the shade and the girls are standing out on the field in the hot sun :| This weekend was a different story..... it was beautiful out and last night I had on a sweatshirt... can you believe that :)

Tori played last night after Taylor played all day in a tournament. Tori pitched and struck out 2 girls.... she was so excited... she just pitched the one inning but its a start :)

Tatum has her first real meet next weekend, I heard those are all day events with hearing the same song 75 plus times when they do their floor routines.... I better take my ipod... LOL :0
